Oklahoma Immigration Law FAQ's
Though the best way to get reliable and up-to-date information about the law is by meeting with an attorney, we have published an outline of immigration law in United States for your convenience: you may access it online by clicking here.
Who are we?
Winningham, Stein & Basey is Oklahoma's oldest immigration law firm and offers the expertise of attorneys with many years of experience and a professional paralegal staff. Mr. Winningham began practicing immigration law in the late 1960s and has devoted the entire resources of the firm to immigration matters since 1983.
Mr. Stein learned plenty of immigration law under Mr. Winningham and has gained an excellent reputation in his own right with more than 20 years experience practicing immigration law.
Ms. Basey joined Winningham & Stein after serving twelve years as an Assistant District Attorney for Oklahoma County. She now practices immigration law exclusively, and her clients have a great appreciation for her fluency in Spanish.

How do we set our fees?
Many people are excited when they find cheap legal representation, but excitement changes to frustration when the result is failure. You should expect the cost of quality legal representation to be reasonable, but never "cheap".
The axiom, "you get what you pay for" is as applicable to legal representation as it is to other services and products. Our fees are set based upon the type and extent of legal services you need, and reflect the qualification, experience and legal skill of our attorneys.
Rather than bill an hourly rate, we will usually determine a "flat fee" after reviewing the details of your matter. The flat fee includes all necessary legal research, preparation, and presentation of your case before the appropriate government agency or tribunal. Additional costs, such as postage and copies, are billed seperately so that you only pay for what is used in your matter.
Because our fees are customized this way, it is impossible for us to quote any dollar amount before meeting with you to discuss and evaluate your matter. Rest assured, however, that we will not do anything that will result in any charge to you unless and until you ask us to do so.
